Round-trip shuttle · Included in your booking

Transport is included.
Here's how it works.

No rental car, no parking, no working out where to leave your things. You get picked up in central Queenstown, dropped at the Gibbston trailhead, ride between the wineries at your own pace, then the shuttle collects you from the wineries and drops you back in town.

The shuttle, step by step

Your day on the shuttle

  1. Whizzy driver standing in front of the branded shuttle van ready for morning pickup
    1 Morning shuttle pickup

Get picked up from one of four shuttle stops in the morning — Five Mile, Frankton Marina, Queenstown Town or Arthurs Point. On the drive out to the trailhead, your driver gives you a tour, including local information and history.

  2. Riders pausing at the Edgar Suspension Bridge moments after the shuttle drop at Arrow Junction
    2 Dropped at the trailhead

Get dropped at Arrow Junction — the perfect distance from the wineries trail. You'll be given your helmet, bike and any information you need to make your day great.

  3. Three riders cruising between cellar doors under golden autumn poplars on the Gibbston trail
    3 Ride between the wineries

Ride your own self-guided and self-paced tour. Cross bridges, take photos, stop at wineries, drink, settle in for long lunches, take as many photos as you want.

  4. Riders on a Gibbston winery lawn with e-bikes parked, ready for the afternoon shuttle home
    4 Afternoon pickup

Your shuttle collects you from your selected finish winery and drops you back in central Queenstown — where you can walk straight into town for a great night out.

Shuttle sorted, bikes sorted. Pick a day and you're set.

The practical bits

What you need to know

Where you get picked up

Choose your pickup at checkout — see the four pickup stops above for addresses and map links.

Where you get collected from

You pick your pickup location when you make your booking. Pickup is around 4pm.

Pickups are very flexible — if your plan changes, give the driver a call and they'll come and find you.

What time it runs

Morning shuttles leave in the morning every day — the specific time will show on your booking. Afternoon shuttles from the wineries run at 4pm, which means heaps of time to explore, drink and eat without rushing.

What's carried for you

  • E-bikes, helmets, locks
  • Trail map and route briefing
  • Any wine purchases — the shuttle brings it all home for you

Group sizes & vehicles

Modern shuttle vans with space for bikes and bags. Solo riders, couples, hens parties, corporate groups — it all works. For larger groups (10+) you'll get a dedicated shuttle.

If you run late at the wineries

No drama. Call or text the driver and the pickup gets adjusted. The whole point of a self-guided ride is that you're not watching the clock.

Bad weather

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before. If the trail is unrideable on the day, the booking is rescheduled or refunded — no questions, no fees.
